the enologists |
 |
He was born
in Fortezza (BZ) on 14.05.1941, is married and has 4 sons. |
| He attended specializing
studies in viticulture and enology in S. Michele all’Adige
(Trento) first, and |
| then in Conegliano
(Treviso), where, in 1961, he obtained degree in Eenology.
After a decade of activity in various Northern Italy Wine
Estates, he became the Director of the Associazione Enotecnici
Italiani – Italian enologists Association (today’s
Associazione Enologi Enotecnici Italiani), holding this
task from 1970 to 1978. |
| In this period
he had the opportunity to face and study in depth all the
wine-making sector basic themes, both under the legal and
legislative profile (national and community) and under the
more technical one. He has organized and directed many Enological
Contests, both national and international, and several Lectures
on tasting and knowledge of Italian and foreign wines. As
well as lectures on wine production, processing, preservation,
ageing and bottling techniques. |
| He arrives
in Toscana in 1979, where he starts a new activity conceived
by himself in the 60s: the Free Lance Consultant Enologist.
In this way begins his collaboration with some Wine Estates,
that are able to draw from his experience the cue for renovations,
both in the vine and enological sector. |
| Because of his
contribution he is unanimously considered one of the Tuscan
vine and wine culture renewal and success author, to the
point that often the Regional Government itself makes him
its own ambassador for the promotion and knowledge spreading
of Tuscan wines in the world. |
In
1992 he realizes his most desired dream: give life to
his own Wine Estate. In that year he buys a Farm in Ruffoli,
inside Greve in Chianti municipality – Podere Poggio
Scalette – that in few years becomes one of the
most prestigious enological reality both in the Region
and nationwide, thanks also to the fundamental contribution
of his son Jurij, qualified enologist in Bearne (Borgogna),
to whom is entrusted the estate management.
|
 |
| Then, in 1990, he enters
– as majority member, together with his brothers Gianmichele
and Ermanno – the board of Castelluccio Azienda Agricola,
located in Modigliana municipality, in Romagna. After renewing
all the structures and giving a definite growth to the produced
wines, in 2001 he entrusts this new Estate management to
another of his sons, Claudio, also an enologist, that –
with the help of his wife Veruska – gives the estate
a resolute quality growth. |
| Vittorio Fiore, moreover, continues
his Consultant activity for the by now numerous and important
Wine Estates that avail theirselves of his collaboration.
He is a member of the Appeal Committee for Central Italy
DOC and DOCG wines, for Ministero delle Politiche Agricole
e Forestali – Agricultural and Forest Politics Ministry. |
| As Lecturer, he is appointed to
Sensorial Analysis Class chair for the university degree
in Viticulture and Enology c/o the Agricultural Faculty
of Pisa’s University. |
